Tristan C. Robinson, Managing Attorney
Tristan C. Robinson received his undergraduate degree from Texas State University–San Marcos in 2009, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations. While at Texas State University, Mr. Robinson was a recognized honor student and a leader in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Mr. Robinson also took up Japanese as a second language.
In 2012, Mr. Robinson graduated from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now the Texas A&M School of Law) in Fort Worth. While in law school, Mr. Robinson focused his studies primarily on the protection of intellectual property rights, entertainment and constitutional law.
In furtherance of his passion for intellectual property law in an international forum, Mr. Robinson was invited to spend a semester of law school abroad in Tokyo, Japan by Temple Law School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania–which is an honor extended to approximately 100 U.S. law school students per year. While abroad, Mr. Robinson was invited to appear before the Japanese Supreme Court. As a consequence of his undergraduate studies and his time abroad, Mr. Robinson is also able to read, write, and speak Japanese.
Mr. Robinson believes in giving back to the community. While in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, he provided pro bono services to both the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office, working misdemeanors, as well as the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, working primarily in a felony family violence setting. Today, he is active in his church and strives to make a difference as a Christian attorney. He regularly gives back to the Arts and Entertainment community by volunteering pro bono counsel via the Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (“TALA”), and maintains close connection with these clients despite any inability to pay. He also serves the Texas Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar (“TESLAW”) as the Law Student Liaison.
In addition to his intellectual property and entertainment focuses, Mr. Robinson has experience in family law, wills, criminal law, and general civil litigation. To view Mr. Robinson’s curriculum vitae, please click here.
